Critics' Pick: Paperhaus at Spirit | Music | Pittsburgh | Pittsburgh City Paper

Ever wanted to go to a show where all the bands were formed by childhood friends? That’s pretty much what’s going down at Spirit tonight. Washington, D.C-based Paperhaus is three childhood friends making moody psychedelic rock. The Lampshades came together as teens in an Altoona basement more than 10 years ago and have been making indie pop/rock ever since. Local rockers Honey first joined forces in middle school and made it out the other side as a real adult band. Rounding out the show is indie rock from Slugss, who don’t go as far back as the others, but are no less chill for it.

8 p.m. 242 51st St., Lawrenceville. $5.
