[INDIE POP] + SAT., OCT. 7

Minneapolis duo Now, Now began as an indie-rock trio with pop-punk tendencies (the third member went solo under the name Tancred, also very good). But the latest singles off an upcoming album lean deeper into the pop side of its sound. It’s the kind of genre transition that might have some original fans complaining that things aren’t what they used to be. But poppier music is almost always a good thing, unless you’re a curmudgeon who’s afraid of change. At Cattivo, Now, Now will be joined by Flint Eastwood, hailing from Detroit, and Dem Yuut, also from Minneapolis.

146 44th St., Lawrenceville. $13-15. All ages. 412-687-2157 or www.cattivopgh.com
