Exodus has been through a lot. The OG California thrashers, who formed in 1979, have reorganized their band configuration a half-a-dozen times, broken up more than once and experienced the deaths of not one, but two, of their former band mates. When you’re in the scene and making records for this long, you’re bound to be served an extra helping of life. Along with the likes of Metallica and Testament, Exodus is undeniably heralded as a pioneer for the thrash-metal genre, and specifically, the legendary Bay Area thrash scene. Pay your yearly dues to the metal gods, and go spend a few bucks to see them at Spirit.

7:30 p.m. 242 51st St., Lawrenceville. $23-28. 18 and older.
