Uh, yeah, there are some nice aspects to Beattie's photographs but as far as a review goes I've never seen any review as biased as yours. Remember, pros AND cons! Dare I point out a few cons. Let's start with his labeling "At the Bar", portraiture. Yeah, I understand the connection between environment and person, but this picture is pure environmental documentary. You speak of balance but this is entirely lopsided. No, there is no portraiture here. If the picture were part of a series of the man on the right then maybe this picture would add a piece of his personality along with the rest of the pictures of him. And Miss Moxi Dada, I don't see any environment at all. Nope, you got it all wrong, but I must say, you did it with poetic, wordy, flair.
