Coming Home: Films of the Refugee and Immigrant Experience

Join us for films about the refugee and immigrant experience, co-hosted by organizations who support newcomers in our region. Discussion will follow the screenings, which are free. Al Otro Lado (To the Other Side) portrays the U.S.-Mexico border through corridos - songs performed and written by musicians traveling north to escape economic crisis. This documentary allows us, in the words of the filmmaker, "to hear the voices of the people most affected and least heard." (2005; 57 minutes)
