With Halloween in 2018’s rearview window, it’s time for holiday music to return. But, before you start listening to the same old songs, let Clara Kent’s newest release, “Winter Song” bless your ears
The R&B stylings of Kent's smooth, sultry voice are warm and inviting. Halfway through, you will wish you were curled up with a partner, in the fuzziest of blankets, drinking hot chocolate, as snow falls outside the window.
The lyrics, “Holidays aren’t meant to be spent alone,” and “Winter song keeps me company while you’re gone / snowy melodies, keep me warm,” immediately bring in the holiday feels with the question, "Is it late December already?" Because Kent sure makes it feel like it is.
“Winter Song” is part of HughShows Holiday 2018 which features performances from 17 of Pittsburgh's most talented musicians – playing both covers and originals.
While Kent’s song and music video dropped today, the rest of the music will premiere at the one-night screening of the HughShows television program on December 2. Other artists include Mark Dignam, Sierra Sellers, Gene Stovall, Just Fern, Molly Alphabet, Wreck Loose, and more.
Along with the tickets, attendees will receive the companion soundtrack CD from Misra Records after the screening.
