Cirque du Soleil's Corteo

Theatrical circus company Cirque du Soleil is renowned for its high-flying acrobatics, elaborate sets, and innovative themes. But when the show Corteo comes to PPG Paints Arena, it will be a throwback to traditional circuses. The story centers around a clown imagining his own funeral at a carnival, where attendees include a ringleader, jugglers, more clowns, and angels. In one scene, the acrobats perform by flipping between two 600-pound, rotating beds. In another, they swing from chandeliers adorned with 4,000 crystals. There is a woman who hula-hoops with her whole body and another who acts as a marionette.
