On Mon., March 4, Chatham University hosts its third annual K-12 “Seeds of Change: Igniting Student Action for Sustainable Communities” student conference. Held at Chatham’s Eden Hall campus in Gibsonia, this conference allows teams of students from schools throughout Allegheny County to present sustainability projects and compete for a chance to win $300 to be used in implementing their ideas. Ariam Ford, founder of Ariam Ford Consultancy for community planning, will deliver a keynote address before students break into smaller groups to discuss their projects and interact with adults whose work engages youth voices in regional sustainability movements.
