Chatham Baroque: Passion and Rage in Baroque France

Experience the splendor, decadence and amour of the French courts of Louis XIV and XV. Major works include the gripping cantata Médée by Louis-Nicolas Clerambault; a delicious sonata for violin by Elizabeth Claude Jacquet de la Guerre; and a rarely heard quartet for flute, violin, viol, and continuo by Louis-Gabriel Guillemain. With Pascale Beaudin (soprano), Stephen Schultz (baroque flute), and Andrew Appel (harpsichord).
