A new documentary from Cultures of Resistance Films, **UNESCO Award 2018 Afrika Film Festival-Belgium** this film showcases creative nonviolent resistance in Burkina Faso. A small land-locked country in West Africa, it's home to a vibrant community of artists, and engaged citizens. Through their music, film, ecology, visual arts, and architecture these people carry on the political legacy of Thomas Sankara. In 1987, he was assassinated during a coup d'etat, led by his closest advisor/friend Blaise Compaoré, who ruled an auticracy until a popular insurrection 27 years later. Today Burkina Faso, with the revolutionary spirit of Sankara, gained a mighty victory
