As a former AGH Transplant and UPMC patient, I'm also using the NxStage System One Machine for my dialysis. My health was going downhill and the in-center dialysis was horrible.
Since 2005 when I started using NxStage, I have gained my weight back and feel alot better with more energy. It has freed up my life tremendously. I can now perform my treatment any time of the day in the luxury of my own home instead of the in-center mess.
Im currently residing in Lynchburg, VA with the University of Virginia managing my NxStage.
Hopefully the word will spread and Dr's and staff will start educating patients and include NxStage in their option of Hemo Treatments.
