Looking for something to do tonight that doesn’t include joining the masses of Pittsburghers at Light Up Night? You’re in luck. There are a plethora of shows and events taking place Friday night in the burgh. Here are five Light Up Night alternative to get you started.

MaxXouT EP Release Show. 8 p.m. – 1 a.m. Cattivo, Lawrenceville. $10. 21+ cattivopgh.com

Headbanging keeps you warm, right? Local stoner rock band MaxXouT is having a release show at Cattivo for its new EP The Big Push, a five-track hard rock explosion. Joining the three-man group is performing arts group Outsideinside and steel city rockers, Stone Cold Killer. All attendees will receive MaxXouT’s EP and digital download with entry.
