Starting as a Tumblr hashtag video campaign, Black Poets Speak Out unities poets from across the country who refuse to accept the continuous murders of black people. Video responses to these atrocious events us the force of art to transform policy, redefining what is normal.
Black Poets Speak Out organizing members Jericho Brown, Mahogany L. Browne and Amanda Johnson, will lead participants in an interactive poetry workshop at KST’s Alloy Studios followed by a community poetry reading and #BlackPoetsSpeakOut videos.
