During this program, renowned national speaker Susan Benesch will discuss “dangerous speech,” how it differs from “hate speech” and moving forward in the aftermath of a hate-motivated tragedy. Professor Susan Benesch is the founder and director of the Dangerous Speech Project (www.dangerousspeech.org). Benesch is a Faculty Associate at the Berkman Klein Center for Internet and Society at Harvard University. She previously taught human rights and refugee law at American University’s Washington College of Law, in addition to teaching at other universities including Georgetown and Princeton.
