Annual Explorers Club of Pittsburgh Hillside Cleanup

Each spring, experienced rock climbers and mountaineers from the Explorers Club of Pittsburgh and Allegheny Mountain Rescue Group use their climbing skills and equipment to safely remove litter on the steep slopes of Emerald View Park along Grandview Avenue in Mount Washington. This year, in conjunction with the Annual Hillside Cleanup, volunteers are invited to help with a guided spring trail cleanup in other areas of the park, removing litter and pruning vegetation along the trails. Volunteers should come prepared to walk up to 3 miles along uneven terrain. We will begin and end at the Hillside Cleanup headquarters.
