As a person quoted in this article on such a highly emotional topic, I appreciate the fact that my comments were generally accurately portrayed. One clarification, however... I would not use the term "funeral" to describe the memorial service that concludes a Rachel's Vineyard Retreat. The term is not applicable since there is obviously no body to bury. A memorial service (the phrase used on the retreat) gives participants a chance to express their grief and to honor the memory of what we consider to be a child who did not come to life in this world.
