A friend and I recently decided to make our first visit to the Pittsburgh Cafe to check out what we had heard was a rather extensive list of martinis and maybe sing a few tunes as we are karaoke fans. We took a few minutes to read over the list of martinis that they serve and after choosing went to the bar to order where we were told that we could not be served. When I questioned the bartender as to the reason why I was told because “his girl told him not to”. Thinking that this was his way of saying that the owner was refusing us service we left. I went back the following day and asked to speak to the owner and was told that they were not in and the girl that was bartending asked the reason for me wanting to speak to the owner. I proceeded to tell her about what happened the previous night and she asked who was working the bar. I described the man that was bartending and was then informed that he was the owner. So logically the only thing that I could think was that another patron, who used to be a room-mate of my friend and left on bad terms, who is known to be a regular at Pittsburgh Cafe, had told him not to serve us and he listened. First time vistors beware, if someone here has a bone to pick with you, you won’t get served.
