An Evening With Stewart Copeland

Uploaded by estewart
Stewart Copeland is best known as the drummer of The Police, where he pioneered an idiosyncratic style that melded reggae rhythms with punk, rock, and pop. (He was also in a very strange band called Oysterhead with Phish's Trey Anastasio and Primus' Les Claypool, just FYI.) But he's an equally prolific composer for films, audiobooks, and video games, including Spyro the Dragon and Wall Street. Learn more about his remarkable life and career at An Evening with Stewart Copeland, at which he'll workshop his new piece Satan's Fall with the Mendelssohn Choir of Pittsburgh (MCP) and speak with local DJ Russ Rose (WDVE) and MCP's music director Matthew Mehaffey. If you have any burning questions, there's a Q&A portion at the end, though it's probably best to keep Sting out of it.
