Amanda Shires

Singer-songwriter Amanda Shires has unveiled two tracks from her upcoming fifth album, To The Sunset. The first, “Leave It Alone,” is a groovy indie rock track hits the ear lightly. “Eve’s Daughter” is much the opposite, exploding from the start with crashing guitars, beating drums and a fierce, powerful scream from Shires. Both songs meet somewhere between rock and country, mixing an “I don’t care” attitude with a Southern twang. Shires will hit the stage at the Rex Theater and show off her wide range of songs that jump from rock and roll to folk in just a few bars. Alternative folk singer-songwriter Sean Rowe will open the show.
