A Wrinkle in Time

If a project involving sci-fi fantasy, film director Ava DuVernay, and the likes of Oprah Winfrey, Mindy Kaling and Reese Witherspoon sounds like your type of affair, look no further than tonight’s A Wrinkle in Time screening at Waterworks Theater, in Aspinwall. The big-screen interpretation of Madeleine L’Engle’s 1962 novel premieres tomorrow nationwide, but you can join New Voices Pittsburgh tonight for a sneak peek in celebration of International Women’s Day. It’s the first film with a $100 million budget directed by a black woman, so there’s plenty to celebrate. -Alex Gordon
