    Dear Editor,

I would like to share my thoughts regarding the recent article about James Street Gastro Pub. James Street is a very cool venue with a lot to offer. It would be a shame if it were no longer part of the North Side entertainment scene. I am troubled by a couple of things that I read. Mr. Saftner said that because of noise complaints the livelihood of the pub is at risk. This is not new that noise is an issue. The upper floors are not air conditioned and the windows are open . A single flute player would be acceptable but I don't see that on the schedule any time soon. The owner needs to update the building and is playing on our kind and generous nature to foot the bill. Well, we are already paying. There is a cover charge to walk in the door and the food prices have gone way up and the quality of the food has gone down. So I usually stop at the Park House for a couple of drinks and great food at a fair price before I go to a show. The owner is taking advantage of some publicity and is now asking us to help pay for updates. Stop the madness! He needs to be like every other responsible business owner and use the money he's already making off us to make the improvements. Oh, and my house and car need a few repairs if anyone wants to help me pay.
