@ Robert Pearson, where do you get your information from that religious freedom is under threat in France? Religious freedom is one of the cornerstones of the EU and thus also of France.
@Charles Deitch, I am not American and anything else than in favor of this buffoon (sorry there is no better word to describe Trump other than getting insulting), but I do have an issue with not being able to use the words "colored" (i.e. why does the NAACP not change its name then?!?), "Oriental"...I'm married to an Oriental woman since 18 years (from Thailand and living in Thailand since almost 20 years) who doesn't mind being Oriental...as a matter of fact we are being discriminated against here: I can't own property, I can own only 49% of a business if I plan to do business in this country but I am expected to pay for it all and even if I own (49%) the business, it's still questionable if I do get a work permit not to talk about a residence permit yet! We are commonly referred to as "farang" a pretty derogatory way to describe a westerner, as for most other countries in this region, they also use many derogatory terms describing us...most of us just don't understand them...so why should we be so politically correct? Political correctness is anyway an oxymoron, isn't it? 99.999% of all politicians are anything else than correct!!! Raghead, I agree should not be used, that is derogatory Oriental is nothing else than a general description of their origins just like you can call me European or I can call you American, neither of which is derogatory, is it? Getting back to the colored point...why can we be called white (we aren't white...well, with exception of some of the British and Irish islands maybe...lol...but more pinkish rather than white), or whatever we are being called by some in the African American community and other ethnic groups...
My point is, that it has become ridiculous what can or cannot be said anymore in this world. As a friend of mine (again a strong opponent of Trump and strong supporter of Bernie Sanders) recently said to me: "In the hypothetical event of a Zombie invasion, within less than 2 weeks we would have Zombie rights groups who make it politically incorrect to call them walking dead!" I am not trying to insult anybody here, I am anything else than a racist or bigot (I have hardly any friends of my racial background, but mostly locals here and lots of them Muslims), but equal rights means EQUAL RIGHTS...meaning that "whites" aren't whites but European Americans, as that is what their origin is...And you yourself used this term "whites" a number of times in your article. You may want to reconsider that!
