Re: “Egyptian Surf Cabaret a Go-Go

Embrace summer in Pittsburgh with the skilled sounds of live music from Amun Raqs Egyptian Surf Cabaret.

Robert Carl Metil, guitar; Mark and Beth DeFilippo, percussion; Mike Young, bass and vocals.

Hristo Alexiev, direct from Istanbul! He is a virtuoso ZURNA and clarinet star graduate of Sofia University Conservatory in Bulgaria, vocalist and multi-instrumentalist—darbuka, oud, cümbüş, tambura, mandolin.

Katie Manukyan, of the Pittsburgh Opera and Mendelssohn Choir, soprano!

Be dazzled during performances by the city's most sizzling dancers.

After the performances, sweat it out on the dance floor to DJ Desus old school Detroit funk and psychedelic sounds as we embark on the party of the summer.

We're setting up the grill and making pitchers of sangria so come and spend a summer day hanging out with old and new friends from your favorite arts community! Bring a dish to share if you are inclined because we love to have a potluck at our parties!
BYOB is fine too.

Vendors will be announced so stay tuned!

Adults: $8.00
Kids 8-15: $5.00
Kids 7 & under: free

Re: “2nd Annual St. Patrick's Day Bellydance Hafla

Jemeena and Troupe Luminitsa are proud to host the 2nd Annual St. Patricks Day Student/ Teacher Hafla!

Last year's event was so much fun that we decided to make it official, it is going to happen every year.
Bellydance teachers and students will show us their stuff.
Live pipes and drums will make the evening festive.
Potluck buffet and some tasty beverages (included in ticket price) will have you dancing a jig and at the end we will all dance to some World Beats.

It is a perfect alternative for those of you who don't want to spend your evening with revelers who started drinking at 6:00am.

As always, this is a family friendly show.
Doors are at 7:30pm
Show begins at 8:00pm

Admission: All tickets will be sold at the door
$8.00 for adults
$5.00 for kids 5-12
Kids under 5 are free
(Performers do not pay admission but are asked to bring something to share for the potluck.)
