Re: “Novel explores racism in Chicago.

That was exactly my experience growing up in Laurelton, in southeast Queens (NY). Within six months, a year at the most, the town went from an ethnic mix to 90 plus percent African-American. Everyone just fled. The culprits, along with pure racism, were the same as described here.
Look forward to reading this from an excellent press
