I think it's important to realize that pollution in the rivers is not something from the past, and it didn't cease when Pittsburgh's industry died out. Recent investigation piece from the Public Herald ( https://publicherald.org/pennsylvania-is-discharging-radioactive-fracking-waste-into-rivers-as-landfill-leachate-impacting-the-chesapeake-bay-ohio-river-watersheds/ ) released some scary details about radioactive landfill waste and untreated sewage pouring into PA rivers. But sewage in the rivers isn't news. ALCOSAN consistently releases diluted sewage when rainfall causes sewer overflow. Wish more was being done for the rivers and our drinking water...
