Maybe we should go back to the drawing board for this story. It doesn't seem quite finished. Remember, information is good. To start: The headline's a little misleading. Why is the library mentioned last? Why are Josh Homme and crew playing in a library? Who set up the show? What other venues/promoters jockeyed for rights? Why did QOTSA end up choosing a library? Was the decision purely monetary, or were other factors involved? Who can talk about it? How about an interview with someone in the band? Someone affiliated with the band? Someone at the library? A fan? In what part of the library are they performing? What kinds of challenges will the venue present? What other weird locations have QOTSA played (other than Rancho De La Luna for The Desert Sessions, which is alluded to but not explained)? Since Era Vulgaris was released in June, why is it necessary to review it now, along with a dismissive, lamely pun-filled (do we really want to use “heavy mettle”?) synopsis of QOTSA's career? Give it some thought. Try again next week. -AZ
