I'm not going to debate what "all" or even "most" women feel after their abortion. I will tell you that after mine, there were many years of depression, anxiety and a feeling of emptiness that I could not explain. It took me years to understand the impact on my ability to give and receive love. Post abortion trauma, as I have come to understand it, is a very real effect of a very difficult decision. The psychological, spiritual and physical after effects were hard on me. Rather than make it a black/white or right/wrong decision, can't we, as women, stand by one another and offer support when it is needed?
