I'm sorry that you've been made to feel "less-than" or a like a stranger in this city. It is a beautiful place in many ways, but you're right that we can be much better. I hope that one of the side effects of new industries springing up here is that we become more diverse, and more appreciative of diversity.
I think the point of the 2nd cartoon is that Bezos is famous for what he has accomplished, while his wife is only known for her split with him. So, to only be known in relation to a man, instead of known for her own merit, is not what girls should aspire to.
On the other hand, plenty of women out there are known for their accomplishments, so the comic doesn't feel accurate.
