There is a bus that goes from University of Pittsburgh to a block away from the South Side Giant Eagle and students ride it for free. There isnt a bus that goes directly from Duquesne, but it is within a few blocks. Not to mention it is less than 1.5 miles from the Giant Eagle. This is beyond absurd, and not a food desert. Its an excuse. Its chaos to say that you cant eat healthy because youre less than 1.5 miles away from a full fledged grocery store. How close should the store be? Right outside your door?
