Re: “Our Town at Pitt Stages

It might be noted that the Wilder estate has authorized a tri-lingual production of Our Town in English, Creole (translated by Jeff Augustin) and Spanish (translated by Nilo Cruz), which opens next week at Miami New Drama.

If the Wilder estate has no problem with the play breaking out of its period piece trappings, why should anyone else?

I wonder what Hoover would have thought about David Cromer's luminous non-period version, which was the longest-running ever production of Our Town.

Re: “Best New Restaurant (as of June 2016)

I'm shocked about this - Not only did I find a hair in my food, but the lack of presence from the owner when this happened was astonishing. He left the waitress to deal with the situation and went in the back??? For a restaurant that's just getting started, I found that surprising to say the least. DiAnoia's blows Honest John's out of the water. Homemade pasta and great wines. Honest Johns has a limited tap menu. - it does have great decor though

Re: “Poll shows support for legal recreational marijuana, Pennsylvania Auditor General says time to legalize is now

Instead of outsourcing the permits to grow recreational marijuana I would suggest that the Commomwealth actually look to those that are illegally growing said plant. They would know what the climate is like here as well as have experiance. It would create more jobs here in businesses founded by local residents, and generate tax revenue.

Re: “Gun reform gets attention in the wake of mass shootings, but advocates say citizens should always keep an eye on local and federal firearm legislation

The NRA has been selling out the American gun owner for over 100 years. They actively supported the NFA in 1934, the Gun Control Act in 1968 and the oppositely named Firearm Owners' Protection Act of 1986 (FOPA) which removed the right of Americans to purchase new automatic or AOW weapons, a clear violation of the Second Amendment.

All of this was done with the cooperation of the sellout Progressive owned and run Republican Party as well.

The TRUTH about the "supremacy clause" - our Constitution does not delegate to the government authority to restrict our arms, ammunition, regulate firearms dealers, do background checks, etc.

Re: “Best Vegan/Vegetarian Restaurant

Double Wide is only good if you are vegan and eating out with friends that refuse to eat veggie food. DW is so average it hurts. Honestly kind of pathetic that DW is on here and not B52.
