I love SM but could not disagree more about the sign. A restaurant in an area unfamiliar to most first-time diners Needs A Damned Sign. Not having one is the only arrogance I felt around SM, but it bothered me. I know where it is now so that's fine, but it's not fine for others doing the slow crawl down the street in what they have been told is a sketchy neighborhood.

Della Terra is amazing! Their food is delicious and all homemade. their five course meal tasting is amazing and so worth trying! Everyone is very knowledgeable able the food and how it is prepared and which part of Italy it comes from. Della Terra is by far the best restaurant in pgh.

We're mostly annoyed when we go to Revel and Roost. We always want it to be great but it never really is. The managers are frequently running around trying to look busy and important and every time we're there it's really slow. What's the problem? The servers are nice-ish, meaning they're polite enough but if you really ask about the menu or a beer on tap, they get annoyed and grumpy that they actually have to work (and by work I mean answer a question!). My husband asked for an IPA and the server brought him the wrong beer. He knew it was wrong but drank it anyway because she disappeared and he didn't feel like getting into it. When she came back, he asked about the beer he actually ordered and she said oh we haven't had that beer for months, our draft list is never up to date! Ok, those managers I mentioned that are running around, trying to look busy? Why don't you update your draft list and train your servers properly? The atmosphere is always odd and lackluster. For the expense and location, step it up!

My grandmother was an executive chef at the cheese cellar for years. I was a young child/into a young teen when she worked there and I miss it dearly. Think about it often and wish it was still around.

Their food is very good and the decor is super cute. However, it's difficult to enjoy any of that because the seating is SO UNCOMFORTABLE!! The bar seats are especially uncomfortable and instead of wanting to linger over a nice dinner, we couldn't wait to leave. They have a fantastic cocktail, craft beer, and wine menu and we were so excited to try this great new place near our home. Unfortunately, it's just not pleasant to hang out there. The bar stools are actually painful! Too bad.

For the 1st time we went to this restaurant. It was good that we went so now we know that we do not have to bother with this restaurant!
- very strange arrangement it is like a house and they take you through narrow hallways to a room furnished with the cheapest furniture that seems to be made from matchbox wood. If you touch these short wooden chairs they fall. They are so short even for me only 5'2! The table so short your knees uncomfortable. They stuff people around these little furniture and they keep adding more of these light wood furniture that at times people might put food in the mouth of the person stuffed next to them.
There was no coat hanger so I put my jacket on one of these chairs. The manager said he needed that chair so I told him he can move my very fine wool jacket and he dropped it on the bare floor!!
My food was so small that I could not believe it. My stuffed egg plant was so small that it would fit into 2 table spoon. There was like 1 tea spoon of ground meat on it. The eggplant was bitter. there was two sides with this food in two containers same size as your dressing for your salad at restaurants. Not to be so hungry we asked for bread. It seems they make it. But the bread was basically slightly heated though. After two bites you would feel pain in your belly. Every thing was so cheap and unprofessional. Do not recommend it at all!

I mean, the place is fine - better than most of what Lawrenceville has been regurgitating lately. These descriptions, though, are wildly exaggerated and inaccurate.
