Re: “Bluebird Kitchen

The only place downtown that makes local fare a priority. I wish it were open on weekends, because it's the kind of place that makes Downtown seem unique and charming for visitors. The breakfast, sandwiches & salads are great: healthy, fresh and unique!

Re: “Vanilla Pastry Studio

This studio lost my order for two dozen mini cupcakes that I had called in a week prior. I purchased (at full price) a dozen regular sized cupcakes instead and by the time I walked them up the street to my apartment the icing had fallen flat and melted all over everything. When I called to ask for the owner/ replacement cupcakes for the ones that had melted the girl that answered the phone stated that they didn't know why my order had been lost (rather than apologizing for the inconvenience), told me that "they have millions of cupcakes that leave the shop every day and they have NEVER melted" (implying that it was my fault), and then hung up on me. I'll never order from here again. Save your money--go to Giant Eagle, (what I ended up doing). Thankfully we have DOZEN back, where the service/quality is wonderful.
