The 29th Annual Slovak Heritage Festival
Pittsburgh's Slovak Heritage Festival stakes its claim as the largest of its kind in the United States, which is a little difficult to quantify, though the area's high concentration of people with Slovakian heritage makes it a safe bet. What is known is that the 29th iteration of the celebration involves no shortage of Slovakian music, dancing, history lectures, storytelling, and, of course, food. Highlights include a lecture from Andy Warhol's nephew Donald Warhola about their families Slovakian ancestry and screenings of the Czech-Slovak fairytale film Seven Raven.
