18th Congressional District vote

When: Tue., March 13, 7 a.m.-8 p.m. 2018
Last year, former Rep. Tim Murphy (R-Upper St. Clair) resigned after reports surfaced that the supposedly pro-life representative had asked his mistress to have an abortion. Today marks the special election for his 18th Congressional District seat. Democratic candidate Conor Lamb faces off against Republican Rick Saccone to represent a district that encompasses parts of Greene County, Washington County, Allegheny County and Westmoreland County. Ultimately, the winner of this seat will be impacted by the recently redrawn congressional map, but that doesn’t mean your vote isn’t important. -Rebecca Addison
