18th Annual Garbage Bag Gala & Fashion Show

The Garbage Bag Gala brings fashion, food, and fun together in one room while raising money for The Salvation Army Family Caring Center. Local designers and fashion boutiques design outfits out of garbage bags and other recycled materials, and these creations are then modeled and judged in a fashion show. In addition to watching the fashion show, guests enjoy hors d’oeuvres and a fabulous silent auction. To add to the fun, guests are encouraged to create their own “trashwear” and wear it to the event. The Garbage Bag Gala promotes the idea that everyone and everything deserves a second chance.
