On Friday, March 29, pro-Palestine protestors demonstrated a die-in (a type of protest in which people lie down in a public place as if they are dead) outside of the Cathedral of Learning on the University of Pittsburgh’s campus. Over 100 people lay on the ground in silence to pay respect to the thousands of Palestinians killed in Gaza. Israel supporters met the protestors with chants and Jewish hymns played on a speaker. The Palestine supporters moved their demonstration to the intersection of Forbes Ave. and Bigelow Blvd. blocking off traffic for about 15 minutes before concluding the protest.
