Pride Month is here, and Space Bar celebrates with an intergalactic-themed drag bingo night. On Thu., June 5, from 6-9 p.m., Luna Skye and Indi Skies take guests on “cosmic journey” of “fun and fabulousness” featuring bingo, a 50/50 raffle, and space-centric craft cocktails, non-alcoholic drinks, and vegan food. Tickets cost $12 and include admission to the 21-and-over show, bingo cards, and daubers (food and drink sold separately with a two-drink minimum). Bingo nights continue on the first Thursday of every month at Space Bar.

New France Brewing Company, part of the four-story Hazelwood Brew House, partnered with the Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh Hazelwood branch to create the Carnegie Lager of Pittsburgh beer. Head to the Brew House on Sat., June 7, from 5-10 p.m. to celebrate the launch of the new brew. A portion of every Carnegie Lager purchased benefits Carnegie Library of Pittsburgh. The event is free.

Bellevue UnWINEd, an annual street market and wine tasting tour, returns on Sat., June 7 from 5-9 p.m. Hosted by Bona Fide Bellevue, UnWINED invites guests to “sip, savor, and stroll” their way through the once-dry neighborhood as local wineries take over the Lincoln Avenue business district. Guests enjoy local and imported wines at 14 “sip stops” while shopping. Tickets to the 21-and-over event cost $50 and include a wine tasting glass with pours at 14 locations, including Lincoln Avenue Brewery, Wunderbar, PSquare Scents, and Revival.

Pittsburgh’s Greek food festival season is in full swing, and festivities are heading to the South Hills. From Mon., June 9 – Fri., June 13, the Holy Cross Greek Food Festival serves up five days of “delicious food and warm hospitality.” The authentic Greek feast, homemade by church parishioners, includes gyros, chicken souvlaki, Greek salad, dolmades (stuffed grape leaves), spanakopita, tiropita (cheese pie), loukoumades (honey puffs), and baklava. The festival, billed as a “full cultural experience,” also includes a marketplace featuring Greek jewelry and imports, and live entertainment with dance, costumes, and Greek music outdoors on the church’s veranda. Braddock Public House

Jaws has taken over Braddock with the arrival of a play and, now, shark drink specials, just in time for the blockbuster film’s 50th anniversary. From now through mid-June, Braddock Public House will serve a Bruce Juice cocktail (named for the movie’s animatronic shark) featuring Don Q Rum, yuzu, grapefruit, blue Curaçao, Campari reduction, and a shark gummy garnish.
Allegheny City Brewing x Allegheny GoatScape

Toast Allegheny GoatScape, a goat-powered landscaping company that clears overgrowth and invasive vegetation around the region, at Allegheny City Brewing. The brewery released Goatface, described as a “farmhouse ale” brewed with local Japanese knotweed, a plant the goats chew on at their project sites. Goatface is now available in cans and on draft at Allegheny City Brewing’s taproom in Deutschtown.

Picklesburgh will return with an expanded Downtown footprint. The Pittsburgh Downtown Partnership announced the pickle-themed specialty food festival, slated for Fri., July 11-Sun., July 13, will take place across two of Pittsburgh’s Sister Bridges, Allegheny Landing, Fort Duquesne Blvd., PPG Plaza, Market Square, Sixth St., and the Heinz Hall Garden. A release also confirmed the Giant Pickle balloon will once again fly over the Sixth Street Bridge during the festival. Picklesburgh celebrates its 10th anniversary in 2025, after drawing a touted 250,000 people last year.

Live Fresh, the Pittsburgh-based juicery and smoothie shop, opened a new flagship location Downtown on May 31. The new Live Fresh Juicery is located on the first floor of the Fifth Avenue Place building (also Highmark Health headquarters), adding what’s described as a “new healthy food option near The Point.” In addition to smoothies and its line of cold-pressed juices, Live Fresh offers açaí bowls, signature “toasts,” and “healthy” catering.
Husband-and-wife team Brett Gilliam and Catey Burget opened the first Live Fresh in Homestead in 2019, and operate three other stores in the North Side, Regent Square, and Robinson.
