Abeille Voyante Tea Co. x Pittsburgh Dumplingz
Earthy teas and warm dumplings are on the menu during a special collaboration between Abeille Voyante and Pittsburgh Dumplingz. On Sun., March 26 from 1-3 p.m., the Millvale tea shop and cafe will serve a variety of Chinese teas with hand-folded vegan wontons, bao, and dumplings. In February, Sweet Alchemy Bake Shop announced that its New Kensington space had closed. On Thu., March 30, the all-vegan bakery will execute a soft opening at its yet-unannounced new space. Leftovers never looked so good then at the Phipps Waste Not Dinner. Happening Fri., April 14, the four-course meal uses overlooked or discarded food and transforms it into tasty dishes. The menu will feature Panzanella salad, herb-roasted mushroom stems and frascatelli, Arctic char, eggplant rollatini, and panna cotta for dessert. Live cooking demonstrations will also take place.
Sly Fox Brewery and Pub
The Sly Fox Brewing location on The Highline now has brunch every Saturday and Sunday from 10 a.m.-2 p.m. and from 11 a.m.-2 p.m. on Mondays.East End Brewing
East End Brewing is no longer solely East End. The brewery expanded with the recent opening of its new Mt. Lebanon taproom. A press release says the location will sell East End beers and ciders, both on tap and in cans to go, and that guests should look out for "tasty Pennsylvania-based cocktails, a couple of carefully selected Pennsylvania wines, and maybe even a guest tap." Sober guests can check out the nonalcoholic selection of sodas by Barmy and seltzers. The Mt Lebanon location will also feature East End's new thick-crust pizza, an ever-changing list of soups, sides, and beer-friendly bar snacks, and vegetarian and vegan options.
