The Director of Production is the project manager for all Pittsburgh Ballet Theatre and PBT School performances in multiple formats. This individual is primarily responsible for the coordination of all production activities for PBT and PBT School performances. The Director of Production is a leader within the organization who is able to troubleshoot, project-manage, and propel ballet and dance through creativity in bringing the artform to the region and beyond. The Director of Production is responsible for the supervision of those within the production department, including part-time stagehands and department heads, and the relationships with those unions where applicable. The ideal candidate must be handy and willing to learn about 3d printers, laser engravers, and vinyl cutters. They must also be willing and available to attend free equipment training sessions during the first month of employment (2 hours each for our three major equipment offerings). This person must be familiar with various artistic and technical practices. Costume Designer. Prime Stage Theatre. Want to help us bring characters from literature and history to life? Prime Stage is hoping to have the same designer for the entire season, but is also accepting applications for anyone interested in select shows. For the whole season: three productions total, pay per show is $1300. For single/select shows, pay per show is $1100. The costume designer is expected to attend weekly production meetings (via Zoom), read-through, designer run, dress parade, tech week, and strike. Prime Stage shows this season are Mr. Edgar A.
