Meek Mill and his record label, Dream Chasers, are honoring the late Antwon Rose II with a holiday giveaway at Hawkins Village Community Center, where Rose spent much of this life playing basketball.
Over the past month, the Philadelphia-based rapper has been bringing attention to ongoing police brutality in the U.S. It started with a video tweeted by Dream Chasers in which Michelle Kenney, Rose's mother, affectionately talks about her son and the life that was suddenly cut short.
"We don’t know if Meek will be in attendance, but most important to us is this is being done to honor the memory of Antwon Rose II," says Jasiri X, co-founder of 1Hood Media, which is among the organizations listed on the event poster.https://t.co/YZS78LKO9U
