MP3 Monday: Seán O’Donnell

I know, I know. It's been a while since the last MP3 Monday. "Where are the MP3's?" you ask. "What's taking you so long?"

Well: truth be told, it stems from the Gulf of Mexico oil spill disaster. There's been a severe shortage of MP3's lately because the technicians who convert .wav files to MP3 are largely the same folks who know a lot about fixing underwater oil leaks. So they've been brought in by BP to work on a fix, and the MP3 line has gotten really long.

That having been said, I've got a new one for you today. It's from Seán O'Donnell, a local musician and lit-type about town who's also a bagpiper. His album of alt-folk-psyche lo-fi rock comes out this Thursday with a show at Club Café; you can stream it ahead of time at his label site, monkeycorner.net.

Here's the track: The Standard Issues

Thanks for playing!
