More Pittsburgh video action today: We just got this brand-new spooky video for a creepy new song from local creepy creepers 1,2,3. Just in time for Halloween, the song is "Darkly Through the Valley"; enjoy, and while you're at it, read our feature on the band from earlier this year, when they released the epic (and awesome) two-LP album Big Weather.

Dylan Ryan bridges a lot of musical gaps: The Chicago-born, L.A.-based drummer came up on heavy metal, moved on to jazz, and has toured with the first-generation emo band Cursive. His current main project is a trio called Dylan Ryan / Sand — he shares the band with Timothy Young and Devin Hoff, both noted session and touring players. Recently, the band released Circa, its sophomore album, on Cuneiform Records. Today, we're premiering a brand-new video from the trio; the songs is "Trees, Voices, Saturn," and the video features lots of found footage and aerobics and jiu jitsu and weird computer landscapes.
Ryan and band are about to embark on a Midwest tour that brings them to Thunderbird Cafe on Tue., Nov. 11; see the full tour agenda below.
Dylan Ryan upcoming tour dates:
Oct. 24 - Los Angeles, Eagle Rock Arts Center
Nov. 03 - Milwaukee, Sugar Maple

Dom Flemons is bringing back old-time music with unbridled enthusiasm. As a former member of grammy-winning Southern string group Carolina Chocolate Drops, Flemons has extensive experience with traditional African-American string bands, and brings this bluesy flavor to his new solo album, Prospect Hill. It’s his first since leaving the group, and it features him on banjo, guitar, harmonica, fife, bones, and jug. The album showcases his mastery of a variety of styles, including Jazz, R&B, blues, and also includes a few original tracks.
Flemons is known for his outrageous playing style and energy, so make sure to see him at Club Cafe on September 28th. In the meantime, check out our exclusive premiere of the video of his new song off of Prospect Hill, “Have I Stayed Away Too Long.”

Down-tempo/hip-hop producer Derek Dumont earned props from national critics for his production of "Mia Wallace" and "Number 16" from Wiz Khalifa's 2012 mixtape release, Taylor Allderdice. Well, prior to those placements, Dumont could often be found at the Shadow Lounge's open mic showcase. As he's seen playing in this new music video, Dumont is never far from his MPC drum machine. In the new video, "Home Sweet Home," Dumont is seen stopping by some of his favorite spots in Pittsburgh, such as the legendary Jerry's Record Store. The video was directed by Vernacular Observatory and features apparel by ISVERA.

Good morning!
You may remember last year when I profiled White Wives, the punk band headed up by Roger Harvey and Anti-Flag's Chris No. 2. Harvey used to play under the name Dandelion Snow; his new project, though, is called Bluebird Midwest.
Today, we're premiering a brand-new video from Bluebird Midwest. If you like it, feel free to check Roger out tomorrow night at Brillobox; Bluebird Midwest is playing there on a bill with Eureka Birds and Horse Or Cycle, in a show put on by the local music blog Draw Us Lines.
Without further ado — "I've Always Loved You," the new video from Bluebird Midwest:

Greetings!
A couple months ago, I told you all about The Long Time Darlings. This week, we're premiering the band's brand-new video, for the song "Downtown Sugar." It's directed by Chris Lockerman, who's done a number of other local music vids. When last we talked with frontman Brett Staggs, he said his dream was for "things to get out of hand." In this delightfully ridiculous video, they seemingly have.
The Long Time Darlings play this Saturday, Feb. 18, at Club Cafe; it's the late show (10:30) and Molehill and Casino Bulldogs (who are releasing a record) play as well. Without further ado:
