Every Monday, CP staff writer Jordan Snowden wraps up the weekend in local and national music news with #MusicMonday. Here's what happened the last few days.

Local

CP’s April cover model, Clara Kent released a new holiday song as part of A Very HughShows Holiday. Kent, along with 16 Pittsburgh artists/bands, either wrote or covered seasonal tunes that will air during a one-night screening of the HughShows television program.

Do you, like Kent, have a new unreleased holiday song? Misra Records is taking submissions.

Yesterday Chalk Dinosaur celebrated the seven-year anniversary of its album, Follow Me. Since that day in 2011, artist and producer John O'Hallaron has released over ten albums.

And on Thursday performed a live DJ set at Ascend on the South Side.

Four-piece rock band Fubar, jammed out at Howlers with Keystone Vibe and Habatat Grooves Friday for an electric mix of reggae, psychedelic blues, rock, and ska.

Happy Birthday, Make Sure You Have Fun! The local event hosters are celebrating their one-year anniversary all month long, with shows featuring DJ Femi, ClockworkDJ, the seductive Joe Kay, and more.

The festivities kicked off Saturday.

National / International

Is Dido still on your mind? After five years, the singer/songwriter returns with a new album, Still On My Mind, which drops in March. Along with the new music, Dido announced her first tour in 15 years. Unfortunately, she’s not making a stop in Pittsburgh, but fans can stream the first single now.

Speaking of mid-2000s’ singers, Regina Spektor, added a new track to the music world this weekend with, "Birdsong."

Since I haven't heard anything else this week besides, "Thank u, next," it only makes sense that the song became Ariana Grande’s first number one hit on the Billboard Hot 100.

The song, along with three others, made Billboard history.

Focusing on mental health issues, Kid Cudi and Kanye West formed the group Kids See Ghosts, and released an album of the same name in June. This weekend, the rappers performed their first show as a duo.

And they didn't just stick to Kids See Ghosts songs.

But where is the tour? Fans like Tyler, The Creator want more.

That's all folks! Check in next week for another #MusicMonday wrap-up.
