Every Monday, CP staff writer Jordan Snowden wraps up the weekend in local and national music news with #MusicMonday. Here's what went down the past few days.

Local

West London indie rock band, The Vaccines, were set to play at Mr. Smalls Theater Friday night until a vehicle issue caused the show to be canceled.

And unfortunately, some fans didn’t get the memo beforehand.

Koo Koo Kanga Roo brought its comedic dance-pop tour to The Smiling Moose Sunday night. During the set, fans supplied the duo with a plethora of fun items.

Can someone make a balloon version of me?

Friday and Sunday night The Pittsburgh Opera put on Madama Butterfly, an opera by Giacomo Puccini that first premiered in 1904. Linda Brovsky directed the Japan-set love story while Antony Walker conducted the Pittsburgh Opera Orchestra.

With free admission, free drinks, and free entertainment, Creatives Drink invited Pittsburgh leaders to network and mingle at Bay 41 in Lawrenceville.

National

Holograms, yea or nay? That’s what the Twitter-sphere is currently debating after Amy Winehouse’s family announced that a tour will take place next year, with the late singer performing as a hologram.

Even further Winehouse drama, the family also announced they signed a deal to make a biopic about the singer/songwriter. Monumental Pictures’ Alison Owen - Lily Allen's mother - and Debra Hayward are set to produce the film.

Sad news for Michael Bublé fans. The Canadian-Italian singer said while talking with Daily Mail's Weekend Magazine, "This is my last interview. I'm retiring."

Wannabe-rappers, it’s your time to shine! Last Friday night, Tyler, The Creator dropped the instrumentals from his 2015 album, Cherry Bomb. So, sharpen your pencils and get ready to spit rhymes.

When asked if the instrumentals for his most recent album, Flower Boy, would be released, Tyler had this to say:

In other album release news, Usher surprised everyone with an eight-track album entitled “A”.

While the album was not well received by most, a few took to Twitter to defend the R&B singer.

But overall, this weekend was full of monumental releases for rap, hip-hop, and R&B fans.
