This Sat., Feb. 24, get stocked up for spring planting at the
Sixth Annual Seed Swap. This event is a collaboration between Grow Pittsburgh, the Carnegie Library and Phipps Conservatory to get gardeners excited about planting their plots. Bring your own seeds to swap with others, and find a few unique varieties to try to cultivate. There will also be workshops on seed starting and seed saving, conversations with gardening experts, hands-on activities for kids and a sharing of seed stories. The event is free to attend and open to the public.
To get a sneak peak into this event, check out
CP''s coverage of last year's swap in an
episode of our Sound Bite podcast.
Keep a look out for our March 7 issue to read the seed stories we gather from this event.
