Concert announcements: Todd Rundgren, COC, Vance Joy, more
Below are a few recently announced shows coming to various venues near you ... and if you're into that kind of thing, check out our annual Fall Arts Guide — which comes out tomorrow — for an overview of the season's coming concerts.
In the In Case You Missed That Last Tour category: Todd Rundgren plays the Carnegie of Homestead Music Hall on December 7 (he sold out Stage AE last time around, so don't wait around for tickets. They'll run $35-65, and go on sale Friday). Also, Screaming Females returns with Potty Mouth: they'll be playing the Smiling Moose on November 2 ($13-15, on sale Friday).
Terror plays Altar Bar on November 30 with Code Orange, Take Offense, King Nine and Malfunction ($15-17, on sale now). Also at Altar Bar: Capital Kings, DJ Promote and NF on November 15 ($18-43, on sale now); Ghost Town on November 24 ($15, on sale Friday); Corrosion Of Conformity, Brant Bjork and the Low Desert Punk Band, Mothership and Saviours (who really don't play Pittsburgh enough) on December 3 ($20-25).
The Redlines comes to Cattivo on September 26 ($5, on sale now) and Goldroom appears there on October 27 ($15-20, on sale now); Gatherers plays the Smiling Moose on November 9 ($10, on sale now); Flint Eastwood will be at Spirit on October 18 ($8-10, on sale now).
Coming to Club Cafe: a bunch of singer/songwriters including Lera Lynn on November 7 ($15, on sale now); David Mayfield & Sean McConnell on November 8 ($10-12, on sale now); and Vanessa Carlton on November 14 ($25, on sale now).
Falling In Reverse, Attila, Metro Station and Assuming We Survive bring the Supervillains Tour to Stage AE on December 4 ($23-25, on sale Friday) and, looking into next year, Vance Joy and Blind Pilot play Stage AE on March 23 ($27.50-30, on sale Friday).
Neon Indian comes to Mr. Small's Theatre on November 14 ($16-18, on sale Friday). Also at Mr. Small's: 10,000 Maniacs on December 11 ($30, on sale Friday) and Marianas Trench on February 6 ($20-22, on sale Friday).
