Campaign 2016’s Silly Season: A Weekly Tweet Round-Up Sept. 4

Posted By on Fri, Sep 4, 2015 at 2:07 PM

We slog through the twitter streams of the 2016 Presidential candidates, and give you a weekly round-up of the more entertaining ones, every Friday.

I would not have picked the week of the 10th anniversary of Hurricane Katrina and the subsequent collapse of the levy walls to make this comparison.

Trump simply OWNS the humblebrag.

Personally, I was rooting for "Mount Trump."

For once, Lincoln Chafee is tweeting about current (if utterly irrelevant) issues. But he can't pick a side. Perhaps "Mount Denali-McKinley"?

No better way to make friends in college.
The campaign has had a confirmed tragedy.

Down at the bottom of the pack, it's just goofiness:

That's right: People aren't packages, they're Soylent Green.

Lindsay Graham makes a joke.
Perry's ghost campaign is endorsed by the ghost of Ronald Reagan. HashtagCowboy.
Kids, get in the car — we're going to Fourth Amendmentville!
