Concert announcements: Nile, Kadavar, Radkey, Kinky Friedman, more
We're hitting that late-summer concert lull, folks, so here are some newly announced concerts to keep you thinking about live music. Because live music would never forget about you.
Unfortunately it will eventually be January again, but on the plus side, Nile plays the Altar Bar on Jaunuary 19 ($20-22, on sale Saturday). Kylesa will also stop by Altar Bar on October 17 ($16-20, on sale now); and Avatar on September 15 ($15-18, on sale now).
Radkey will be at the Smiling Moose on October 8 ($10, on sale now); Lee Bains III & The Glory Fires plays there with PUJOL on October 1 ($10, on sale now). Also at the Moose: Blis with Bandit on November 10 ($10-12, on sale now); I See Stars on October 6 ($15, on sale now); and Kadavar on October 3 ($12-14, on sale now).
The Hard Rock Cafe has an active schedule: Emerson Hart and Meiko will perform on October 13 ($13-15, on sale now); The Wyldz on September 27 ($10-12, on sale now); and Elliott Yamin on September 27 ($15-17, on sale now).
Cattivo is fast becoming the venue of choice for aging hardcore dudes: Madball stops by on September 30 ($12-15, on sale Saturday).
The Bellfuries and Jessica Lee Wilkes will be at The Pittsburgh Winery on September 28 ($14, on sale Saturday).
Coming to Stage AE: Hollywood Undead on October 4 ($25, on sale now); and The String Cheese Incident on October 20 ($49.50, on sale Friday).
Here Come The Mummies plays Mr. Small's Theatre on September 12 ($22-25, on sale Friday). The Devil Makes Three will be there on October 21 ($20, on sale Friday); The Menzingers and mewithoutYou make a stop on November 24 ($20, on sale now).
(the) Thurston MoOre Baand (which is how he's apparently spelling it now, like the wacky and CoOl dude he is) plays Club Cafe on September 16 ($30, on sale Friday). Also at Club Cafe: Michal Menert on October 4 ($15, on sale Friday); Kinky Friedman on October 11 ($25, on sale now); Tumbleweed Wanderers on October 13 ($7-10, on sale now); and Tiny Stills on October 17 ($8, on sale now).
