The ToonSeum museum of cartoon art is seeking artists from the region for an upcoming exhibition.
Sequential artists living in the 10-county Southwestern Pennsylvania region (as defined by the
Southwestern Pennsylvania Commission) must submit their entries by July 31.
Drawn in Pittsburgh: Local Cartoonist Showcase is a juried exhibit meant “to highlight, celebrate and promote the talented community of cartoonists working in the greater Pittsburgh area and expose their work to a wider regional audience.”
The show’s curators are Bill Boichel, owner of
Copacetic Comics; artist
Joyana McDiarmid; and comics artist
Wayne Wise.
Each artist can submit up to five images. The work must be original, and sequential in nature, and cannot exceed 24-by-36 inches in size. Electronic submission is required. For complete rules and uploading instructions, see
here.
Drawn in Pittsburgh will run Aug. 29-Oct. 18.
