One of the most important artists ever born in the region returns this weekend for a free talk.
He's lived in New York City for decades, but returns here frequently, most recently for the Nov. 1 opening of Storyteller: The Photographs of Duane Michals, his massive career retrospective at the Carnegie Museum of Art.
Michals is back this weekend for events including this free artist talk at the Carnegie Lecture Hall. He is known as a candid, engaging speaker.
The talk is at 1 p.m. this Sunday. The lecture hall is located at 4400 Forbes Ave., in Oakland.
